Colquhoun Construction Limited is a newly established and growing New Zealand Construction Company. The Directors between them have 70+ years in the NZ Construction industry and are both well known for successfully delivering a wide range of multi-disciplined projects with various complexities. We have an opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager, to join a passionate leadership team and lead our construction activities across the Auckland region.
This role will require you to hit the ground running as we have a full pipeline of work already in place. You will be a key leader working on an exciting new project that is just about to commence.
You will need to be an existing Project Manager with a demonstrable track record of delivering multiple projects. You will need to be able to provide strong and effective leadership and positively influence the team. You will have previously successfully managed multi-disciplinary construction teams. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards are met in health and safety, quality assurance, programme management, sustainable outcomes and commercial management.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in delivering civil, residential or commercial construction projects in a similar capacity or specialisation.
The following skills are required:
Relevant Engineering qualification or substantial industry.
Previous experience in Project Engineering or Project management.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Passion for and previous history of robust health, safety, environmental and quality management.
Commercially astute.
Strong programming skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Development of sound construction methodologies.
Advanced user with Excel and MS Office.
Subcontractor management.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
You will need to be a New Zealand Resident, or currently living and eligible to work in New Zealand to be considered.
